What is a NAATI Certified Translator?
A NAATI certified translator is a translator certified by NAATI, the only official accreditation body for translators and interpreters in Australia. The new NAATI certification scheme ensures that our translators renew their certification regularly as a commitment to the quality and standards of the profession. The certification scheme supersedes the old NAATI accreditation scheme.

NAATI Translation FAQs
- Are your NAATI translators accepted by DFAT?
Yes, from 1 July 2018, DFAT is only able to accept translations completed by translators with NAATI certification (this includes Recognised Practising credentials) issued under the current Certification System. The department will no longer be able to accept translations done by an accredited translator (that is, someone holding a NAATI accreditation issued under the former NAATI accreditation system) after 1 July 2018. - Are your NAATI translators accepted by AHPRA and other skills assessment authorities?
Yes, we are familiar with their requirements. Please mention this if applicable when you order. - Is there an expiry for your NAATI-certified translation?
We do have expiry for the certified translations that we produce, they are always produced by NAATI certified translators with updated credentials. - What is an apostille and do I need one?
An apostille serves to prove the authenticity of Australian government-issued documents, or the authenticity of NAATI translator’s stamps. Whether you’ll need one will depend on the receiving authority of your documents and your purposes; please check directly with them. Apostilles are provided by the government only, please check with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
